We took a week off so you could learn about the importance of re-examinations, but it’s time to get to know another NSPAH team member!  Next up is our Office Manager, Emily!

Name: Emily Bauer
Position at office: Office Manager
Why did you get into management: I became an office manager because I truly like to be around people. Being a manager gives me the chance to work with my employees to make sure that I am giving them the best opportunities and environment so they can then go and help others to the best of their abilities. I get to help those who help others. I love my job and I love my team.
Who is your celebrity crush? I have too many… But I guess my #1 would be #19 (Jonathan Towes of the Chicago Blackhawks)
What is your favorite movie? Benny and Joon.  If you haven’t heard of it, you’re missing out!
If you could have one superpower, what would it be? I would like to read minds
Worst unhealthy habit? Biting my finger nails. I have been doing this for as long as I can remember and I just can’t seem to stop 🙁
What is one item on your bucket list? Go to New Zealand
What is your favorite office chore or task? I like to organize. I feel like I’m always moving things around or re-organizing things that I had just changed a week ago. I enjoy a good office purge (if we haven’t used it in the last 6 months I want it out of the office!)
If you had an endless supply of any food, what would it be? Mac and Cheese
Do you have any pets?  If so type and names. I have a little adopted dog named Rico, he’s for real my best friend.
Last book you read? Girl on a Train
What did you want to be as a child? Ballerina
Morning or Night person? Morning. I get up at 6am every day (even on weekends) and I can barely stay up past 9pm!
Oldest thing in your fridge? Probably something gross like cottage cheese
Favorite Ice Cream flavor? Mint Chocolate Chip
What’s one thing NSPAH has done/taught you to improve your health? Drinking MORE WATER! I had no idea how absurdly little water I was drinking before I started working here. Now I usually drink at least 80 ounces a day!
